Global Diving Conference

November 12th-13th, 2011

Autumn upon us, the dedicated scuba diving indoor events are starting up with the first Global Diving Conference, initiated by Global Underwater Explorers (GUE), to take place on the 12th and 13th of November, in Kiel, northern Germany.

Participants from any certifying agency and from any corner of the world are welcome to join, while the list of speakers, drawing from a variety of scuba diving specialties, is impressive: Pierre-Yves Cousteau, Dr. Hans Fricke, Martin Groves, Jarrod Jablonski, Richard Lundgren, Simon Mitchell, Phil Short etc.

The conference will take place at the Kiel University (Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel). The agenda comprises two days (November 12th-13th) of lectures, with a dinner on the 13th at an additional cost, and two days (November 10th-11th) of optional activities at an additional cost, with field trips (Haithabu – Viking settlement, Laboe – warship museum, IFM-GEOMAR – research institute), a social event and a free workshop (Project Baseline Workshop).

The price of the conference is $135 (≈100€) for the lectures; $35 (≈26€) for the dinner; $30 (≈22€) for the field trips; $20 (≈15€) for the social event. To register see here
